Ivan Belyaev, 2013年于莫斯科动力学院 (MPEI) 获工程学博士学位。2014至2020年，在俄罗斯科学院高温联合研究所历任液态金属与熔盐冷却剂实验室主任。2020至2023年，在同一研究所，转任工程热物理与可再生能源实验室主任。现担任俄罗斯科学院高温联合研究所副所长，分管能源领域科研工作，带领团队探索磁流体动力学传热前沿领域，主导实验研究与创新。
讲座内容：
This presentation begins with a brief review of the Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences (JIHT RAS) activities in energetics. It then details experimental research on liquid metal magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) heat transfer, a critical field for advanced nuclear and fusion reactor design. The talk offers an overview of fundamental mixed MHD convection patterns, where thermal and magnetic forces interact. It will delve into the nature of magneto-convective fluctuations (MCF) and the characteristics of jet flows within a magnetic field. Furthermore, it will reveal early results from investigating the pulsed effects of a magnetic field on a liquid metal cavity.
