讲座题目:MHD turbulence: phenomenology, laboratory evidences, and dynamo applications
讲座嘉宾:
Rodion Stepanov is a leading researcher at the Institute of Continuous Media Mechanics, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and a professor at Perm National Research Polytechnic University. His research interests include magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence, dynamo theory, nonlinear dynamics, and multiscale analysis of astrophysical plasmas. His work focuses on phenomenological and numerical modeling of turbulent dynamo processes, laboratory experiments with conducting fluids, shell models of MHD turbulence, and applications of wavelet analysis to solar and galactic magnetic-field data. He has also contributed to studies of energy transfer and saturation mechanisms in MHD turbulence, turbulent dynamo experiments, galactic dynamo theory, and the incorporation of turbulent effects into solar dynamo models and modern data-driven approaches to plasma dynamics.
讲座内容:
Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) turbulence plays a fundamental role in the dynamics of astrophysical plasmas and is believed to be one of the key mechanisms governing solar magnetic-field generation and variability. This talk aims to bridge phenomenological concepts of MHD turbulence, their experimental manifestations in laboratory flows, and their practical implementation in solar dynamo models. Particular attention will be devoted to mean-field theoretical predictions, laboratory experiments with conducting fluids, and numerical models of the solar dynamo. The incorporation of turbulent effects into dynamo simulations, including modern data-driven approaches, will also be discussed.
